Favorite thing about teaching AP: My favorite thing about teaching AP Literature is fostering, encouraging and witnessing the growth of my students in both their analytical writing and insightful class discussions (I also really enjoy teaching Shakespeare- getting the entire class on their feet acting, experiencing and enjoying the play!)

Fun fact: I love dancing and take a few dance classes each week.

Favorite thing about teaching AP: I enjoy teaching argument. Students desperately need these skills. Without the ability to think critically and form ones own opinion based on verified evidence, a person will accept everything without questioning. We need to raise our words, not our voices.

Fun fact: I love to sing karaoke

Favorite thing about teaching AP: I enjoy working with curious, highly intelligent Chelsea students who need rigorous training to be prepared and feel confident for the challenges of college.

Fun fact: I’ve had close encounters with sharks and a grizzly bear (not on the same day).

Favorite thing about teaching AP: Watching students who are apprehensive about taking the class, blossom with confidence and pride by the end of the year because of everything they accomplish. These students understand just how capable and powerful they really are, and it’s a sheer joy to guide them through their self-realizations.

Fun Fact: I’ve traveled to five of the seven continents, and I’m hoping to cross another one off next year!
