Dessy Dimova, Ph.D.

Dessy Dimova has been teaching science and the College and High school level for more than 17 years. In addition to teaching students, she has been working with teachers, helping them refine their practice, and as a CLR (culturally and linguistically responsive pedagogy) Coach. As a HS teacher, she has been an equity leader and advocate for the AP program, continuously striving to increase enrollment and provide support for traditionally underrepresented groups of students. She has been a College Board Consultant for Achieving Equity in AP and for AP Biology since 2020. She is a Table Leader at the AP Reading and a member of the content development team for the AP Biology exam. Dessy holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Cornell University and a Principal/Supervisor of Curriculum, Assessment and Instruction Certificate for the State of NJ.
