Expanding AP coursework makes an impact in MetroWest

Something brand new and important happened this past school year at Keefe Technical High School: Students had a chance to earn college credit in computer science and English by taking Advanced Placement courses. When the rigorous AP exam was given, 10 students received qualifying scores (a 3 or better on a scale of 1 to 5) in computer science and 11 students received qualifying scores on the English Language and Composition exam.

Those students not only learned new and challenging material, they also received proof they were ready to excel in college and they got a small financial boost should they apply their credits toward college.
